Zazen: A Prescription for Healing

Join us on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. in Green Hall for Zazen: A Prescription for Healing.   Do you want to suffer less?  Do you want to cause less suffering in the lives of others?  You can, if you learn to sit still.

In this workshop, sponsored by the Wise Life Club, participants will learn a form of meditation that comes from the Japanese Zen tradition called Zazen. Participants will learn three key aspects of zazen and then put them into practice during a brief meditation session. Steven Harders, Professor of Speech & Drama at Chowan, leads the workshop.

The workshop is limited to 15 participants. Two sessions will be offered on Friday, Oct 12 at 11 am and at 1 pm. Location: TBA. To sign up, please email Professor Harders at hardes@chowan.edu.

This Cultural Arts Celebration event is free and open to the public.
