
Join us Monday, April 29, 2019 as Chowan University confers the 2019 Mary Frances Hobson recipient, author Wiley Cash, Writer-in-Residence at the University of North Carolina at Asheville. He is the founder of the Open Canon Book Club and co-founder of The Land More Kind Appalachian Artists Residency.
Following the conferral and dinner at 6:00 p.m. (business attire) in the Chowan Room in Thomas Dining Hall, Cash will deliver the Hobson Lecture that evening at 7:30 p.m. in Vaughan Auditorium in Robert Marks Hall followed by a book signing. This event is open for community members to join.

6:00 p.m. – Hobson Prize Conferral and Dinner (by reservation)7:30 p.m. – Hobson Prize Lecture

Registration Fee: $25.00 Fee includes payment for the Hobson Conferral Dinner
