Come join us April 13, 14, and 15, 2018 in Turner Auditorium as Theater@Chowan presents “The Wind of a Thousand Tales,” a magical play for children by John Glore with music by Diane King.

The Wind of a Thousand Tales tells the story of a young girl named Kimberly-Kay. Kimberly-Kay doesn’t believe in make-believe. In fact, she prefers encyclopedias to fairy tales. But one night, Kim-Kay is swept from her bed by the Breezes and carried away to the magical land of “Nowhere.” It is there that the Breezes enact three folktales—one from Mexico, one from Japan, and one from middle Europe. When Kim-Kay is finally plopped back into her bed, she has a newly-found respect for stories, different cultures, and the power of make-believe.

Steven Harders, Professor of Speech & Drama at Chowan, directs the production.

Performances begin Friday, April 13, and Saturday, April 14 at 7 pm, and Sunday, April 15 at 2:30 pm.
